The elements that affect your SmartBridge configuration

SmartBridge is software that sits between two or more systems to enable them to communicate to each other. As such, to be able to configure SmartBridge, you first need to find out in what shape or form information comes to you, and then in what shape or form that information should be transferred to the receiving systems.

 

 

So, before you start configuring SmartBridge, please go through the following:

What you need to understand and/or have before configuring SmartBridgeRead more
  • Basic understanding of what SmartBridge can do for you.
  • The elements involved in preparing incoming data to be sent to its recipients.
If you are using the EDI features: Short history of EDI which explains why there are so many settings involved.
If you are migrating from other TIE integration software: Learn about the differences 
  • A good understanding of your own business process, and of requirements:
    • What partners, documents, document types, communication protocols, time schedules, priorities are involved?
    • How are data delivered to SmartBridge?
    • What should come out of SmartBridge?
  • Detailed specifications:
    • Code list to identify the partners (EAN, GLN, etc.)
    • List of partner addresses
    • Communication protocols, certificates, credentials
    • etc.
